WORD FROM THE COACHES
Tuesday Night we held our first Team Meeting for the 2012/2013 Season – and there was plenty of buzz around with the meeting located at our new Home TAHQ @ BikeLab. 110+ athletes gathered to learn about the upcoming seasonplans, how they can now finance their new bike/gear/equipment through Stratton Finance and the fantastic support and deals our athletes will now be receiving on GIANT Bicycles. Everyone is super excited about our new home and we can’t wait to relocate our offices over the next couple of months. In the meantime make sure you head down there for a coffee and stock up on all the gear you need for triathlon and cycling. Charlie and his team will look after you with extra ‘Tri Alliance Love’! (Don’t forget to take your Tri Alliance athlete ID to receive fantastic prices!)
Next weekend we have our biggest camp for the year – our Winter Training Camp at Lorne. Next Friday 60 athletes will be heading down the Great Ocean Road for a challenging few days of riding, running and swimming along with plenty of seminars and workshops. Athletes attending this camp will get a major boost in their training, along with loads of information to help them progress their training. If you missed out/unable to attend this camp, then keep an eye out for our next camps over the coming months.
THANKYOU TO STRATTON FINANCE

IMPORTANT INFO FOR SWIM TECHNIQUE AT SESSIONS
Over the next few weeks, each MONDAY swim session you will need to bring along your Thera-band. If you don’t not have one try and get your hands on one. Tri Alliance have bands for sale throuh our partners Xtreme Fitness Australia. If you would like to order a pair please email Sarah.
There-bands are being incorporated to help show you the correct technique to build swim specific strength. You will also learn and be shown the correct technique to feel the catch and pull of water and continue to work on your stroke development. By doing this on land you can receive direct feedback and ‘feel’ the change. *Please note, this is not a strength session – you should still be completing your own strength session either post swim OR as soon as possible the next day.
Details below on how this will be incorporated into sessions:
MSAC: 6.00pm start – Top intermediate & advanced (2lanes)
6.00-6.10pm thera-band technique use.
6.15-7.15pm – swim set in pool
MSAC: 7.00pm start – Beginners & Low intermediate (3 lanes)
7.00-7.10pm thera-band technique use.
7.15-8.15pm – swim set in pool
NORTHCOTE: 6.00am start – all levels (3 lanes)
6:05-6.15am thera-band technique use.
6.15-7.15pm – swim set in pool
Becuase you will be starting the set out of the pool, please ensure you have warm clothing and be ready to start ON TIME. If you are late, just come and join in.
