Word from the coaches….
Our athletes who races in the Shepparton Half Ironman on the weekend had a great days racing, our Coaches are extremely proud on how everyone went – getting 50 athletes and 4 teams across the line of this fantastic race. CLICK HERE for our race report and to read how our athletes went.

On the weekend the Hanover Eastlink Ride was also held with a 45 or 75km ride along Eastlink – right along the stretch of road where Ironman Melbourne will be held next year. So this was a great chancefor athletes to check out the course while raising money for a good cause. We had quite a few athletes participate including Dave Nealon, Jay Mueller, Brinn Tavener and Cam Pegg (sorry if we have forgotten anyone) AND Lakesides Physio Khan Tran. Well done all. And from what we hear the road surface is fantastic! Dave, Jay and Brinn also had an up close and personal encounter with Simon Gerrands – 2011 Tour de France rider from Sky Team. We’re just waiting for your video Dave to see who won! 🙂

Racing this weekend

This weekend is the first race of the Gatorade/Active Feet Fun Tri Series and what a race it’s going to be! Tri Alliance is set to have it’s largest numbers racing – with 210 athletes firing PLUS our TRY-the-TRI’s and Coaching Clinic Participants (around 50 of them!), we are expecting around 130-150 athletes to race on Sunday. Not a bad feat!! A particular GOOD LUCK to all those athletes who are racing a triathlon for the first time! Most of us can still remember our first race and how daunting it can be, but hopefully with all our Coaches tips and your training leading into this weekend everything will pay off and you will have a great race! So good luck, we look forward to hearing about your race and seeing your big smile across the finish line!
CLICK HERE to read some words of wisdom from our Zoolander to ensure your finishing photo is everything it should be!
CLICK HERE to read our race day checklist to ensure you don’t forget anything on Sunday!
Remember also to check if you have Tri Alliance as your squad/club in your SuperSprint profile as this allows you to earn points in the SuperSprint Tri Club Competition. And Tri Alliance is going for a Hat Trick! This also means your results will be posted in our official Tri Alliance results page – so no excuses. 🙂

If you you haven’t yet got your entry sorted yet it’s still not too late, remember that Tri Alliance athletes receive a $5 discount on individual race entries, and $30 off series entries (and there are limited series entries left!). Email [email protected] for your unique discount code.

Training Timetable

We wonder how many people got up this week on Tuesday or Thursday morning only to find out they could have had a nice sleepin??!! REMEMBER that you should check our Training Timetable to ensure you have the right training days/times/locations AND to know when you get a sleep in! You will be kicking yourself otherwise. 🙂
We have received great feedback on the new beginner swim session on Monday mornings at MSAC with Ryan Bourke, which has allowed our athletes to be spread over different sessions based on swimming ability. And has allowed us to cater for more athletes while not congesting lanes. So we can now coach up to 75 athletes on a Monday now which is fantastic.
Our December training timetable is currently being finalised – so stay tuned as there are a number of changes that happen over the Christmas period including HELL WEEK (stay tuned!)!
