WORD FROM THE COACHES
Big weekend ahead for those attending this years Lorne Winter Triathlon Training Camp. Tri Alliance have 60 athletes and 6 Coaches heading down the Great Ocean Road for a 4 day training camp jam packed full of swim, bike run sessions, seminars and workshops. What better way to kick start your winter training campaign. These athletes are going to be one big step closer to their season goals after this weekend. So happy training to all those involved.
Given the majority of our Coaches are at the camp, (only Coach Greg and Lisa are left in Melbourne!) there will be no Coached sessions in Melbourne Saturday, Sunday and Monday (Queens Birthday public holiday). So make sure you plan out your own weekend, get in touch with other athletes in Melbourne and follow your training programs if you aren’t coming on camp.
Tomorrow Night (Thursday) we have our first Run Time Trials for the season. Those who are attending the camp will complete the run, but as a tempo run – not a hard TT.
Times/Locations:
– Melbourne Sports & Aquatic Centre – 6.15pm start (NOT The Tan!) 🙂
– Essendon Rowing Club, Maribyrnong River – 6.15pm start
So make sure you get along to Thursdays run session, as these time trials will help set your pace charts for your training ahead.
