NOOSA TRIATHLON 2012
The 30th annual Noosa Triathlon was as expected a huge weekend of racing and partying. Along with our friends from Tri Alliance Melbourne we had a huge contingent competing with as always a large group of first time Noosa athletes.
We had some great results so it was very pleasing to see the benefits of the hard work at training pay off. The results are at http://tri-alliance.com/wp-content/uploads/2012/11/2012-11-04-Noosa-Tri.pdf
Entries to the 2013 Noosa Tri opened today with priority entry to Triathlon Queensland members. As we mentioned at the after party on Sunday night the Noosa triathlon will be the one event every year that Tri Alliance get together and enjoy each other’s company.
If Noosa was a major focus then it’s time for a break of 2-3 weeks before looking at 2013. If not then we still have the QTS races at Robina and Raby Bay to finish the year off.
TRAINING PHOTO OF THE MONTH
The winner of the training photo of the month is Kieran Heinze for his photo of Chris Bierton and Tom Hogbin at a transitions session at Redcliffe the week before Worlds. He will receive a $50 voucher from Shoes Feet Gear at Paddington.
This month’s competition is the best before and after photo. That can be anything from body shape to hair styles so send in to [email protected] if you have something.
Due to Noosa we are on a recovery week with a reduced training schedule. Next week is back to normal so please check the training calendar on the website
Welcome to our latest group of beginner course participants who started this week. They’ll be working towards the Raby Bay QTS race on December 16th to complete their course.
Stay tuned for their profiles which we’ll post on facebook in the coming weeks to welcome them to the squad.
ROBINA QTS EVENT
The next race on the calendar is the Robina event on November 18th. Entries are starting to fill up so if you’re keen to follow on from Noosa head down. We also have 5 free entries to give away and will be doing so at Monday night swimming and Tuesday morning running next week.
