Word from the coaches….
For large number of Tri Alliance athletes, this weekend is a big race goal for the 2011/2012 season. We have 51 athletes racing in Shepparton – our largest Half Ironman group, and a good proportion of those are first time Half Ironman athletes. So the nerves and excitement is starting to build and they head into their last few days of taper and start to think about their race and how to take to 4-7hour race. We also have a convoy of cars that are heading up the Hume Hwy on Sat or Sund to support the event and cheer their fellow athletes on so this will make for a great atmosphere on Sunday. If you are racing you should have received an email last night on with loads of information. If you did not receive this, then email Sarah. We will be going over a pre-race review and post-race recovery guideline to ensure you have a great lead in and the best recovery possible afterwards. Make sure you get along to tonight’s session at Elwood for this.

The rest of the squad is mostly preparing for next weekends first Gatorade / Active Feet Race of the Season. The first race is always a big one, and the atmosphere is fantastic. If you haven’t yet got your entry sorted, remember that Tri Alliance athletes receive a $5 discount on individual race entries, and $30 off series entries (and there are limited series entries left!). Email [email protected] for your unique discount code.
