Course Overview

  • Swim (3.8km) — Open water swim in Port Phillip Bay. Conditions vary; wetsuit-legal in most years.
  • Bike (180km) — Multi-lap course through Melbourne’s beach road and bayside suburbs. Relatively flat with consistent headwinds.
  • Run (42.2km) — Out-and-back marathon along the foreshore. Spectator-friendly with aid stations every 2km.
