6 Week beginner Triathlete Program

Learn all there is to know to compete in your first Triathlon this coming season!

Tri Alliance is well known for its beginner triathlon programs and due to its popularity our Try-the-Tri Program is back for another year!

Our 6 week beginner triathlon training Melbourne program will cover all aspects of triathlon training and provide you with a taste of the technique and skills to compete this coming season. So if you have been thinking about trying a triathlon, now is your chance to get a head start before the season commences!

PROGRAM INCLUDES:

  • 3-4 coached sessions a week for 6 weeks
  • Swim, bike and run technique & fitness
  • Open water swim technique and practise
  • Weekly tips & tricks and general training advice
  • Phone and email contact with our coaches
  • Race transition setup & race tips
  • Pre race course overview and transition walk through
  • *FREE RACE ENTRY into the Active Feet Triathlon OR Gatorade Tri immediately following your Try-the-Tri Program.
  • FREE Raceday Massage, BBQ and warm-up area at your race!

    Race 2 Gatorade/Active Feet Tri Series, St Kilda, Sunday 11 Jan 2015
    Race Distances: Active Feet 200m-8km-2km OR Gatorade Distance 600m-26.7km-5km OR Olympic 1.5km-40km-10km
  • Program 3: 10 Jan 2015 – 19 Feb 2015
    Race 4 Gatorade/Active Feet Tri Series, Elwood, Sunday 15 Feb 2015
    Race Distances: Active Feet 250m-7km-3km OR Gatorade 750m-20km-5km
  • Program 4: 7 Feb 2015 – 19 March 2015
    Race 4 Gatorade/Active Feet Tri Series, Portarlington, Sunday 15 March 2015
    Race Distances: Active Feet 300m-10km-3km OR Gatorade 800m-26km-8km
  • Program 5: 21 February 2015 – 02 April 2015
    Race 5 Gatorade/Active Feet Tri Series, St Kilda, Sunday, 29 March 2015
    Race Distances: Active Feet 300m-10km-3km OR Gatorade 750m-20km-5km

We have a number of locations and times that we hold our sessions – Elwood, CBD and Mentone. So choose which sessions suit you! Each session will help you develop fitness, confidence and learn all the triathlon skills you need to know.

  • Monday:  05:50am Swim MENTONE
  • Tuesday: 6.00am Pool Swim MSAC, 6:30pm Wind Trainer MENTONE
  • Wednesday: 05:50am Pool Swim MENTONE
  • Thursday: 6.30pm Combo (open water swim/bike/run) ELWOOD BEACH
  • Friday: Day Off
  • Saturday: 9.30-11.00am, Combo, ELWOOD BEACH
  • Sunday: Active Recovery or day off

COST: $259 including FREE Gatorade/Active Feet Race Entry!
*Already got your race entry sorted? No worries – we would still love to help you prepare for your race. $199 for the same program without race entry.

GROUP SIZE: Only 20 spots are available for programs 2-5.

WHAT EQUIPMENT YOU NEED:
Swim: Goggles, swimmers, wetsuit (if you have one)
Bike: Bike, helmet, bike shoes (or runners)
Run: Runners & running gear
