A great quote as we lead into Ironman Western Australia this weekend. IMWA celebrates it’s 10 year anniversary this year and ahead of the race, we have put together our athlete preview. Tri Alliance had another great weekend of racing with some fantastic results. We had 6 athletes travel to Victor Harbor for the World’s qualifier sprint distance race and another 3 athletes race the Team Up Series in VIC. Congratulations Team!

Brad Campbell and Brinn Tavener were also seen getting amongst the cyling teams in Bright as part of the Tour of Bright over the weekend. Well done boys on completing a few tough days of riding!

SUSSANS WOMENS FUN RUNsussans
This Sunday is the Sussans Womens Fun Run – one of Australias most popular womens only fun run/walk. This year the event includes a Half Marathon, 10km and 5km fun run/walk. Tri Alliance athletes will be pace runners for the event and we thank them for their time and support of this fantastic event!
5km event: Suzie Latta, Snead Collins, Emma Oliver
10km event: Ellie Stubbs, Michelle Bond, Emma Donati
21.1km event: Kellie Emmerson, Narelle Crooks, Brianna Scarlett
Coaches Sarah & Emma will also be at the event, so if you are in the area, pop down and come and say hi!

CANBERRA HALF IRONMAN
Next Sunday 15 December we have a group of 8 athletes heading up the Hume Highway for the Canberra Half Ironman. We wish the following athletes a great final preparation:

SATURDAY
Long Course FLAT Ride -Beginner/new LC athletes or those who cants get to Dandenongs.
Meet: Elwood Lifesaving Club
Time: 6.30am start. Ride will head to Port Melbourne, then Frankston, with the option of Olivers/Two Bays Return for those needing a longer ride.
Ride: Follow your program rides/distances.

Long Course HILL Ride – Intermediate / Advanced
(Riders must be confident and self sufficient)
Location
: Dandenongs
Type: Strength
MeetWantirna Mall Carpark. 621 Boronia Road Wantirna.
Time: 6.25am brief, 6.30am roll out
Coach: Darren

Short Course Combo:
Meet: Elwood Lifesaving Club
Time: 7.20am for 7.30am start
*Intermediate to advanced short course athletes/runners are asked to meet for a 7.15am run start.
Session3 times the fun. Bring all your ride, run & swim gear. The session will commence with a run so leave your bikes in the car or bring a lock for your bike. ELSC members can put their belongings in the Club.

Sussans Womens Fun Run! Please note road closures around the StKilda/Port Melbourne Area.

Long Course:
No coached sessions, follow own program

Short Course Ride:
Meet: Elwood Life Saving Club
Time: 6.25am for 6.30am start
Group Ride: Follow Program for distances. Ride will head towards Frankston (70km return) or Olivers/Two Bays (90km) for those who require a longer ride.
