With the goal setting coming up this week, it is an opportunity to explore the chance for short course athletes (Sprint and Olympic) to represent Australia in the Gold Coast in 2018. Goals are supposed to stretch you, and be difficult to achieve, if you don’t aim at a target, you will not hit the target.
For qualification you need to do certain qualifying races in the 2017/18 summer to get the points. These races get announced in July.
From personal experience it is an awesome feeling wearing the Green and Gold, and can only encourage more athletes to go for it.
Lisa MacFarlane and I can answer any questions you may have.

If you are not Australian, check with your countries Triathlon federation about the requirements, as it changes from country to country. Some have an expat clause where they keep a certain number of spots for those living overseas.
