PORTARLINGTON GATORADE RACE 4
Another cracking race event was had down on the Bellarine Peninsular over the long weekend. The forecast of storms and wild weather was only partly true with the course being mostly dry by the time the cycle leg took place. It was great to see a large contingent of Tri-Alliance athletes racing with many for the first time on this iconic course.
With works on the marina it meant a changed swim course with the swim all to the left of the pier and a short transition run across to the car park (no running 100m in the sea this year!) The wind was ever present on the bike and run but was kind enough to make the final few k's a tailwind and push you towards the finish line.
We had a good set of results with many place getters and tops 10's too:
- Georgie M - 1st AG Sprint
- Caroline H - 2nd AG Sprint
- Steph A - 2nd AG Active Tri
- Greg M - 2nd AG Sprint
- Jo G - 2nd AG Active Tri
- Kat H - 3rd AG Sprint
- Amy B - 3rd AG Sprint

Congratulations to all those who raced and helped with event setup and take down over the weekend. Celebrations then continued at TA HQ with a BBQ and drinks late into the evening. If you missed out make sure this race is in your diary for next year.
